WWII Plane Crash in Colton July 1944

On the 20th July 1944 my father-in-law, Flt.Sgt Ronald Turner was flying from RAF Hixon when the aircraft no. DK280 developed a fault and crash landed in a field next to Bowey Hall Farm.
